The USB
Interface Cable
Windows 98/ME/2K/XP
* New USB Powered version: U1P & U3P. The USB port will provide power to the transmitter. No batteries needed. This is similar to the student's tx getting power from the instructor's tx. The power switch should remain in the off position, batteries should be removed. Note: the USB port is only capable of providing 5V to the transmitter, more than enough power to run the simulator. However, the newer "computer radios" will continuously emit an audible beep for "low battery" warning. Please see U3PBE below. ** New BuddyBox Edition for Airtronics: U2BE. An AC Adapter (or the TX's charger) will provide power to the tx via a power connect at the circuit box. The power switch should remain in the off position, batteries should be removed. Limited time offer: free AC adapter with U2BE purchase. *** New USB Powered version: U3PBE and U5PBE. The interface will give you a choice of power; either from the USB port or an external AC adapter charger (a switch allows using one or the other). Your power options for the U3PBE:
All cables are made from coax cable (RG174/U) for clean signal transmissions (laptop OK); the exceptions are types U1P, U3P, U2BE, U3PBE, which are made from shielded cable. Free CD of FMS software and additional aircrafts included. |
