| What is Unicode? To be brief, Unicode is an
international standard to include all known forms of printed letters &
words. Fonts information are not included, but the characters (glyphs) are

are many competing standards for the Vietnamese character set. These
include VISCII, VPS, VNI, VIQR, TCVN (ABC). The Unicode
standard is gaining popularity and it is rapidly replacing the older
standards. |

(typing) and Adobe Indesign (layout, pdf export). This site is created
using Microsoft FrontPage 2000; page language is set to Multilingual
(UTF-8). The 3D animation at the home page was created using Xara3D
4.0 with TTi scriptive font Bánh Mì. The
background image (Ãẫ7) was created with CorelDraw (see notes below)
using scriptive font Bút Lông (jpg
export). The main logo is using Thời Đại

yet work. Vietnamese unidoce documents created by Microsoft Words can be

CorelDraw 9 & 10
- Professional Graphics Design
CorelDraw does not fully support Unicode (yet). However, it is still
possible to import Vietnamese unicode characters into CorelDraw once the
characters have been converted to Enhanced Metafile (EMF). This can be
done via the Draw component of Microsoft Office (Draw is installed along
with Microsoft Publisher). Example: from Word or Publisher, select
[Insert] [Picture] [New Drawing], this will start the Draw component.
Select [Insert] [WordArt], choose a style and start typing in the text
entry dialog - remember to select a Vietnamese unicode font. The word art
now can be copy [Edit] [Copy] and paste into CorelDraw [Edit] [Paste]. The pasted object now can be manipulated like any
other Corel art objects. |
CorelDraw 9 & 10
- Nghệ Thuật Tạo Hình Chuyên Môn
CorelDraw không (chưa) hỗ trợ Unicode. Tuy nhiên, bỏ những
chữ unicode vào trong CorelDraw sẽ làm được sau khi thay đổi
những chữ này qua Enhanced Metafile (EMF). Việc này sử dụng
phần Draw của Microsoft Office (Draw sẽ gắn vào máy cùng
với Microsoft Publisher). Thí dụ: từ Word hoặc Publisher,
chọn lệnh [Insert] [Picture] [New Drawing], làm vậy sẽ mở
phần Draw. Chọn lệnh [Insert] [WordArt], chọn một mốt vẽ
và bắt đầu đánh chữ trong khung này - nhớ chọn một
kiểu chữ unicode Việt. Hình ảnh chữ này bây giờ có
thể sao lại [Edit] [Copy] và dán vào trong CorelDraw [Edit]
[Paste]. Hình ảnh mới dán này có thể được thay đổi
và thao tác như những hình ảnh khác trong Corel. |
Adobe

Like the case of CorelDraw above, Illustrator is yet to support
Unicode. The same method as CorelDraw will work.
